Description
A delightful dish that combines creamy textures with the spicy zing of sweet chili and Sriracha, perfect for seafood lovers.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust based on spice preference)
- 2 teaspoons honey
- ¼ cup green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with salted water. Bring it to a boil and add 12 ounces of linguine or spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- While the pasta cooks, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to the skillet. Stir it until fragrant, taking care not to let it burn.
- Toss in the peeled and deveined shrimp. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté until the shrimp become pink and opaque.
- In a small bowl, mix together ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup sweet chili sauce, 1 tablespoon of Sriracha, and 2 teaspoons of honey.
- Combine cooked pasta with the shrimp in the skillet. Pour the sauce over the pasta and shrimp, tossing well to coat.
- If necessary, add a splash of reserved pasta water to achieve the desired creaminess.
- Serve hot, garnished with ¼ cup thinly sliced green onions.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in olive oil and garlic before cooking. Adjust spice level with additional Sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes.
