Description
A quick and flavorful Bang Bang Salmon dish that is ready in just 15 minutes, combining zesty sauce and perfectly seasoned salmon.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), either skin-on or skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season each side generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. The oil should shimmer without smoking.
- Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for 4-5 minutes, allowing a golden crust to develop.
- Flip the fillets carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring they cook through but remain moist.
- While the salmon cooks, prepare the Bang Bang sauce. In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or yogurt), sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the skillet and drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
Use a fish spatula for flipping the salmon and let the fillets sit for about 10 minutes after seasoning to enhance flavor.
