Description
A fast and savory salmon dish with a crispy exterior and a zesty Bang Bang sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 fillets salmon (skin-on)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (high smoke point oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground preferred)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (substitute fresh garlic if preferred)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust according to spice preference)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup as a substitute)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (fresh preferred)
- 2 tablespoons green onions (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil, allowing it to shimmer.
- Season each salmon fillet generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
- Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down into the skillet, cooking without moving them for 4-5 minutes until the skin becomes crispy.
- Flip the fillets carefully, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they are cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
- While the salmon cooks, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and lime juice until well combined.
- Once the salmon is cooked, plate it and drizzle generously with the Bang Bang sauce.
- Finish with a sprinkle of chopped green onions for a fresh garnish.
Notes
Experiment with the sauce to adjust the spice level. Serve with toppings like sesame seeds or additional herbs for a personal touch.
