Description

A delightful salmon dish featuring a perfect balance of sweetness and tang with a rich balsamic glaze that caramelizes beautifully in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Stir the mixture to create a smooth glaze and divide it in half.
  3. Marinate the salmon fillet with half the sauce, covering it completely, and let it marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) during the marination.
  5. Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange the marinated salmon on top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, basting halfway through with the remaining marinade.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven when it reaches your desired doneness.
  8. Serve hot, drizzled with the leftover sauce.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality balsamic vinegar and adjust red pepper flakes to taste. Fresh garlic is preferred for an intense flavor.
