Description

Delicious, oven-baked tuna steaks that are quick to prepare and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 whole tuna steaks (6 oz each, about 1½ inches thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels.
  3. Drizzle each steak with olive oil, coating all sides.
  4. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 5-6 minutes per inch of thickness for medium-rare.
  6. Let rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
