A delicious and easy baked teriyaki salmon recipe, offering a sweet and savory flavor that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger over medium heat.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  5. If desired, mix cornstarch with water and add to the sauce to thicken.
  6. Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, ensuring it is coated evenly.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the salmon and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate salmon in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes to 1 hour for enhanced flavor.
