Description

A delicious baked salmon dish drizzled with a rich and creamy lemon butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 5 skinless salmon fillets, about 150 g each
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons old-style Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ tablespoons garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half and half
  • 1-2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Lemon slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard. Stir to mix well.
  3. Lay the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Give each fillet a nice massage with the marinade. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
  4. Place the salmon in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  5. While baking, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 20 seconds.
  6. Pour in the cream and bring it to a gentle boil. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the sauce from heat and mix in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Once the salmon is ready, pour the lemon butter garlic sauce over it. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow the salmon to marinate for a few minutes for enhanced flavor. Consider broiling the salmon briefly for crispy edges.
