Description
A delicious baked salmon dish drizzled with a rich and creamy lemon butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 5 skinless salmon fillets, about 150 g each
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons old-style Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 ½ tablespoons garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream or half and half
- 1-2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Lemon slices, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard. Stir to mix well.
- Lay the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Give each fillet a nice massage with the marinade. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
- Place the salmon in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- While baking, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 20 seconds.
- Pour in the cream and bring it to a gentle boil. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the sauce from heat and mix in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the salmon is ready, pour the lemon butter garlic sauce over it. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow the salmon to marinate for a few minutes for enhanced flavor. Consider broiling the salmon briefly for crispy edges.
