Description

Baked salmon balls bring rich, flaky salmon together with zesty ingredients, paired with a creamy avocado sauce for a delightful culinary experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until cohesive.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While baking, mash the avocado and mix in Greek yogurt, lime juice, and a dash of salt and pepper until smooth.
  6. Serve the salmon balls alongside the creamy avocado sauce.

Notes

Make sure the salmon is cooked but not overcooked for optimal moisture. Consider adding cheese for extra richness.
