Description

Sizzling crab legs drizzled with melted garlic butter are a quick and indulgent seafood delight perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen king crab or snow crab legs, thawed
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Take your thawed crab legs and, if desired, use kitchen shears to crack the shells slightly in a few places.
  3. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning. Stir it all together until well mixed.
  5. Tear off a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil and place the crab legs in the center.
  6. Drizzle about two-thirds of the garlic butter mixture evenly over the legs.
  7. Bring the long sides of the foil together and fold over a few times to seal tightly, leaving a little room for steam.
  8. Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until heated through.
  9. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the packet rest for 2-3 minutes before opening it.
  10. Transfer the crab legs to a platter and drizzle with the remaining garlic butter and fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture. Fresh herbs like dill or chives can enhance the flavor.
