A delightful dish of salmon baked with chili, lime, and honey, creating a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Place the salmon, skin side down, onto a piece of foil large enough to fold over and cover completely.
- In a large saucepan, heat lime juice, honey, garlic, and salt over medium heat until warm.
- Remove from heat and add in the cold butter, swirling to melt.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the salmon, ensuring even coverage.
- Sprinkle cumin, chili powder, and lime zest on top.
- Cover the salmon, making a pouch with the foil to lock in moisture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your filet. The salmon should flake easily when it is done.
Notes
For a crisper finish, consider broiling the salmon for the last few minutes of cooking.
