Description

A delightful dish of salmon baked with chili, lime, and honey, creating a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Place the salmon, skin side down, onto a piece of foil large enough to fold over and cover completely.
  3. In a large saucepan, heat lime juice, honey, garlic, and salt over medium heat until warm.
  4. Remove from heat and add in the cold butter, swirling to melt.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the salmon, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Sprinkle cumin, chili powder, and lime zest on top.
  7. Cover the salmon, making a pouch with the foil to lock in moisture.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your filet. The salmon should flake easily when it is done.

Notes

For a crisper finish, consider broiling the salmon for the last few minutes of cooking.
