Description

Delightfully crispy Asian-style tuna cakes blended with fresh herbs and spices, served with a spicy mayo for an extra kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • Fresh herbs (such as cilantro or green onions)
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sriracha or other hot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine canned tuna, herbs, Asian spices, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. For the spicy mayo, mix mayonnaise with sriracha to taste.
  6. Serve the tuna cakes with the spicy mayo on the side.

Notes

Add a squeeze of lime juice or fresh ginger for extra flavor. Chill the patties for 30 minutes before frying for better texture.
