Learn how to make delicious Asian Sticky Honey Garlic Butter Shrimp with this easy recipe. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal!
Ingredients
- – 1 pound (450g) large peeled and deveined shrimp
- – 1/2 cup (120ml) honey
- – 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- – 3 cloves minced garlic
- – Juice of one lemon
- – 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil
- – Chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice, whisking them together thoroughly. Transfer this blend into a container that can be sealed, then add the shrimp, ensuring it is covered well, and let it sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- In a pan of medium size, heat the vegetable oil and place the shrimp in it, keeping the marinade aside for later. Sprinkle the shrimp with salt and pepper for added taste.
- Adjust the heat to medium-high and cook the shrimp until it is pink, allowing about 2 minutes for each side.
- Once the shrimp is cooked, pour the marinade you set aside earlier over it. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp evenly. Finish by sprinkling chopped green onions on top before serving.
Notes
- Thoroughly coat shrimp in marinade and let sit for 30 minutes for optimal flavor absorption.
- Avoid overcooking shrimp; cook for about 2 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions on top before serving for a fresh and flavorful garnish.
