An easy and flavorful dish featuring cod fillets marinated in soy sauce, ginger, and honey, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the marinated cod on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For more flavor, let the cod marinate longer than 30 minutes, up to 2 hours. Serve with rice or a salad.
