Description

An easy and flavorful dish featuring cod fillets marinated in soy sauce, ginger, and honey, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil.
  2. Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 15-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place the marinated cod on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For more flavor, let the cod marinate longer than 30 minutes, up to 2 hours. Serve with rice or a salad.
