A quick and flavorful marinade for tuna steaks that enhances their natural taste with a blend of soy sauce, honey, and fresh aromatics.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Place tuna steaks in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the tuna steaks, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Remove tuna from marinade, discarding the used marinade.
- Grill, sear, or bake the tuna steaks to your desired doneness.
Notes
For best results, do not overcook the tuna; aim for slightly pink in the center. Let steaks rest for a few minutes before serving.
