Description

Quick and gourmet Ahi tuna seared in garlic butter, delivering rich flavors and a delightful seafood experience in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each, 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in chopped fresh parsley and lemon juice.
  7. Return the tuna steaks to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them to coat both sides.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Best served with fresh vegetables or salads. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within a couple of days.
