Description
Quick and gourmet Ahi tuna seared in garlic butter, delivering rich flavors and a delightful seafood experience in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each, 1 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
- Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in chopped fresh parsley and lemon juice.
- Return the tuna steaks to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them to coat both sides.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
Best served with fresh vegetables or salads. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within a couple of days.
