Crispy, savory, and flavorful air fryer parmesan-crusted halibut that captures the essence of coastal cooking.
Ingredients
- 1 pound halibut
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic (or 2 cloves of smoked garlic)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
Instructions
- Dry the halibut well with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
- Crush the Ritz crackers and place them into another bowl.
- Coat the fish in the mayo mixture, ensuring all sides are covered, then roll in the crushed crackers to coat completely.
- Carefully place the coated halibut in the air fryer in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other or the sides. If necessary, spray the rack with cooking spray.
- Repeat with the other filet(s).
- Cook in the air fryer at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F, depending on your preference for fish.
Notes
For variations, swap out Ritz crackers for panko breadcrumbs for a lighter crust. Experiment with spices and herbs for customized flavors.
