Description

Crispy, savory, and flavorful air fryer parmesan-crusted halibut that captures the essence of coastal cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound halibut
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic (or 2 cloves of smoked garlic)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

Instructions

  1. Dry the halibut well with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
  3. Crush the Ritz crackers and place them into another bowl.
  4. Coat the fish in the mayo mixture, ensuring all sides are covered, then roll in the crushed crackers to coat completely.
  5. Carefully place the coated halibut in the air fryer in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other or the sides. If necessary, spray the rack with cooking spray.
  6. Repeat with the other filet(s).
  7. Cook in the air fryer at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F, depending on your preference for fish.

Notes

For variations, swap out Ritz crackers for panko breadcrumbs for a lighter crust. Experiment with spices and herbs for customized flavors.
