Description

A simple and flavorful air fryer mahi mahi dish that combines garlic herb butter, spices, and fresh lemon juice for a delightful seafood experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 mahi mahi fillets (about 1 pound)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (or smoked paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons garlic herb butter, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat while you prepare the fish.
  2. Rinse the mahi mahi fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Coat each fillet with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly covered.
  3. Mix the paprika, granulated garlic, black pepper, and kosher salt in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the fish fillets.
  4. Place the seasoned fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they remain in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish reaches an internal temperature of 137°F (58°C) and is cooked through.
  6. Remove the fillets from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. Drizzle fresh lemon juice over each fillet and top with 1 tablespoon of garlic herb butter. Serve immediately for best results.

Notes

For even crisper crust, consider lightly coating the fillets with cornstarch before applying oil and seasonings.
