Description
A flavorful and healthy take on blackened salmon, perfectly cooked in an air fryer for a crunchy outside and tender inside.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust based on spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 fillets salmon (skin-on preferred)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing the salmon)
Instructions
- Mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried oregano in a small bowl.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Brush each salmon fillet with olive oil, ensuring both sides are covered, and sprinkle the spice mixture generously over the salmon.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it sit for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Adjust the cayenne pepper for desired spice level. Marinate the salmon in spices for deeper flavor.
