Description

A flavorful and healthy take on blackened salmon, perfectly cooked in an air fryer for a crunchy outside and tender inside.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust based on spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 fillets salmon (skin-on preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing the salmon)

Instructions

  1. Mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried oregano in a small bowl.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Brush each salmon fillet with olive oil, ensuring both sides are covered, and sprinkle the spice mixture generously over the salmon.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it sit for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Adjust the cayenne pepper for desired spice level. Marinate the salmon in spices for deeper flavor.
