Description
Crispy shrimp with a zesty sauce served in soft flour tortillas topped with slaw and cilantro.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (or to taste)
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage (for slaw)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
- Lime wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking for 8-10 minutes or until crispy.
- In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha to make the sauce.
- Toss the cooked shrimp in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve the shrimp in flour tortillas, topped with slaw and cilantro, with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate shrimp in buttermilk for 30 minutes before dredging. Serve with guacamole or salsa for extra freshness.
